Thanks to a generous donation from the estate of Paul and Joy Buchanan, in 2018 Friends made possible a long-time dream at Pope John: two adjoining kindergarten classrooms with a separate bathroom were built next to the cafeteria. And, from a bequest by Father Hilary Meny, former pastor and loyal supporter of the Shawe band program, Friends provided $10,000 in matching funds for band uniforms and a new stage curtain!
